Meet Laura
Laura Martini has been teaching yoga for 15 years and practicing for 17. She has completed over 1300 hours of training in a multitude of styles from yoga schools and teachers around the world. Laura specializes in leading unique yoga retreat experiences. Some of her favourite retreat hot spots include Costa Rica, Mexico, Bali, Italy, and right at home in the sunny Okanagan. In 2015, Laura became a Master Trainer and started leading 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training programs across western Canada with partners like Oranj Fitness, Bliss Yoga Lounge, The Alchemy Studio in Revelstoke, and Kamloops Hot Yoga. She also developed and leads Prenatal, Restorative, Yin, and Yoga Lifestyle 500 hour programs virtually and in-person.
Laura grew up on an acreage in the forest and spent much of her time walking the dirt trails with her loyal dogs. She developed a love for public speaking at a young age and as much as her dad wanted her to be a lawyer, she went a different route and made a career out of her passion for yoga. She makes her home with her hubby, two boys and weiner dog cross in Kelowna, BC.
Laura’s classes are an enthusiastic and integral fusion of styles and postures that are specifically designed for our modern culture. Classes are structured without being predictable, they are accessible for everyone, and they are never without a healthy combination of fun, compassion, and relaxation. Laura’s relatability is undeniable, she has created a love for yoga within people of all different ages and levels of fitness. Her raw and unabashed ability to push people beyond their self-constricting ego is unique and is perhaps the reason why she has hundreds of students. She likes to help her students find their “edge” and get to know their bodies and minds a little bit better. Check out Laura's classes at her hOMe studio in Kelowna, Mandala Studio.
